My best friend was anorexic, almost ended up in hospital but managed to get out of it before she got incredibly skinny.
I still remember seeing her in that state, she's a much healthier size now, 8/10, but that image will remind in my mind forever. It just doesn't look natural to be a size 0, just a bag of bones, i cant even see how that's attractive. And, as far as i can tell, being that small can have adverse effects on health, such as stopping periods and raised risk of bone diseases and stuff.

Obviously, if you're naturally skinny, its understandable, and the glances from people judging you must be nasty to bear. My boyfriend gets that all the time, he's 6ft something and only 9 stone, looks like skin and bone, but no matter how much he eats he stays small, so i understand that. I get those looks and comments from the other end of the scale too, as I'm overweight for my height, but i don't understand how celebrities could want to be that skinny, and its wrong to throw that kind of unhealthy habit into the spotlight. It can ruin the body images of young girls who believe that's how they have to look to be pretty...

@kirst - If your build is slim then you should not be judged, it's the fact that I see young people trying to get down to a size 0 because their favourite celebrity is that annoys me the most.

Granted not everyone is aiming for a size zero, they just want to be slim but sometimes it can be taken too far because of what they are seeing on TV, in magazines or just generally walking down the street.

I do not categorise slim people, people striving to become an idiot by forcing themselves down to a size zero are categorised.

I hate this persona about if you look a size zero then people automatically think omg you dont eat or you want to be like that.
I personally hate my weight i have been slim or skinny if you prefer all my teenage life , but i absolutly hate it my friends and family are like are you losing weight or do you eat enough.
If your thin your put into a catorgory all on its own where people think theres something wrong with you or your trying to be like a celebrity.
every body has different shapes and sizes which they were born with and naturally like this.
So if you see a thin person dont label them as anorexic because they might not be and if people are trying to look thin thinking its better then i have news for you because it dose'nt look preety and it will just make you ill.

@Jessica - Thanks for the comment. I am not forgetting that some girls are just naturally thin. Some people are "lucky" too not have to exercise etc and have a good metabolism. I was certainly not getting at the lucky people, I was getting at the idiotic celebrities who force themselves to be that way when their bodies are not built for it. I would never make an assumption like that, everyone is different.

@Alex - Yes Size 0 does change from person to person as everyones build is different.

@Steph - Honestly, I'm sick of celebrities forcing themselves to get to a size 0 because they think it's the "in" thing to do. I'm also sick of the media throwing it in to the spotlight so that girls & boys think that it's also the thing to do. As I said above, everyone is different. Everyone has a different body make-up, I worry about the people who are not built to go down to a size 0 and still try it because the people on the TV are doing it. If you are naturally that size then that is fine, that's the way you are.

Any other points you wish to raise, drop me a line.
